Holiday weekends are great and can deplete our energy 😴 Here are 10 ways to rest in addition to napping!

When you need rest, but a nap isn’t cutting it – try one of these things instead!

1 / Color, doodle, draw – this can be a very effective way to relax while engaging the creative side of yourself!

2 / Guided meditation, I love the headspace app!

3 / Listen to music – music can soothe and relax us!

4 / Journaling – process through what you’re holding on to, release and write out what you need to.

5 / Stretching, yoga, breath work – allow your body to relax

6 / Bake your favorite treat – something that feels comforting and nostalgic

7 / Take a bath, shower, or swim – imagine all of your stress and thoughts washing off of you

8 / Watch a ‘comfort’ show or movie – knowing what to expect in a movie or show can be calming

9 / Read a book – take a break from your phone and see how reading relaxes you

10 / Cuddle with a pet or person – cuddling and physical touch
